1962 was a year to celebrate. Pictured is ‘Daddy Brooke’, as the Prime Minister was affectionately known in some circles, thundering in the 50th anniversary of the Ulster Solemn League and Covenant.
The Covenant was the foundation document of Northern Ireland and in 1962 the Unionist community marked its anniversary with some confidence. Their endeavour, resolve, and hard work had helped Northern Ireland take its place on the World Stage.
