Staff from the REACH Project and the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland were in attendance at the Balmoral Show from the 13th-15th May.
The Grand Lodge of Ireland and Museum of Orange Heritage had a specially designed stall located in the Shopping Village over the three days to draw in crowds and create as much awareness as possible for the new centres opening at the end of June. The Community Education Programme was also heavily promoted to show our outreach work along with the outreach work of the Grand Lodge Education Officer David Scott.
This was also an opportunity to test some of our new shop stock which we brought in for the new museum shops. Several items were a big success and we sold out of many items which we had brought to the show!
We also ran a special Free Prize Draw which gave show spectators a chance to win 1 of 6 family passes to either of the two new museums.
Overall, the Balmoral Show was a resounding success for both the Grand Lodge of Ireland and the Museum of Orange Heritage. Our stall was extremely busy over the three days and we had plenty of familiar faces also visiting us, including politicians, local MLA’s, MPs and Mayors.
